■introduction

NLI Research Institute conducted the seventh annual Property Market Survey of market sentiment among Japan-based property professionals.
Regarding the property investment market sentiment, the results show that despite a significant improvement in current sentiment, this year’s six-month outlook is only slightly better from a year ago.
In terms of preferred sectors, the residential sector is currently most attractive. In the medium term, the office sector is overwhelmingly preferred, as not a few market participants apparently see strong growth opportunities in Asia.
Moreover, the results indicate that the market has come to recognize the additional value of eco-friendly properties, and is also beginning increasingly aware of how foreign factors can help invigorate the domestic property market.
