1979年 東京海上火災保険（現東京海上日動火災保険）入社（国際事業等担当）、外務省（経済 協力局）、（財）国際金融情報センター（欧州部長・アジア大洋州部長）、（株）日本格付研究所（国 際格付部長兼チーフアナリスト）等を経て、2009年より現職 Joined Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance in 1979 (mainly in charge of international business), thereafter had business careers: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (in charge of ODA to the Asian countries), Japan Center for International Finance (Director of Europe Dept., Director of Asia and Oceania Dept.) and Japan Credit Rating Agency, Ltd. (General Manager & Chief Analyst of International Dept.).
